Months of preparation
Valerjan Romanovski is not just a record-breaker – he is an ambassador of body and cold work, a man who has been proving for years that “impossible” is just a slogan. His mission is to popularize the conscious use of cold and sauna – as a way to health, regeneration and better well-being.
The idea of beating the reocrd was born several years ago, when Valerjan participated in the Polar Bear Club training. At that time the record was broken – 30 minutes underwater. For Valerjan, this inspired him to form a team and start preparing for something bigger. He spent the following months in constant testing, training and analysis.
To best prepare for the challenge, Valerjan had to study how the head reacts to being under the ice for so long. This requires proper breathing techniques and staying calm – all in order to push his limits.
Big day
A team of 5, ice balls and excited witnesses – that’s how Saturday, March 15, 2025, went. All competitors approached the challenge one at a time in our cold ball, filled to the brim with ice cubes. Everyone was completely immersed in the water, and breathing was aided by compressed air apparatuses.
The safety of the participants was the responsibility of experienced paramedics, who carefully monitored the condition of the athletes both before and after they exited the water. The lifeguards also analyzed their breathing patterns and reactions to the low temperature.
And it worked!
Valerjan Romanovski, Tobiasz Imbierski and Damian Kas spent more than an hour underwater, breaking previous records and setting a new one – the world record. In addition, Wojciech Krzysztof Klemens Wolkowicz achieved an impressive 37 minutes, beating the record set in the past by 7 minutes.
We also cannot overlook the participation of Irena Senator, who bravely rose to the challenge as the only woman on the team. This is not only a physical success – it is a demonstration of the strength of mind and cooperation of the best specialists in their field.
For our part, we extend our thanks to the Tryton Diving Center – for preparing to breathe underwater, and to Pure Ice Poland – for providing the ice.
But that’s not all!
Although the winter season is over, Valerjan is not slowing down. Starting in April, regular classes in the Limitless by Autopay zone – combining cold and heat work – are starting. Sauna, ice, breathing, body awareness – a combination that regenerates, builds resilience and allows you to get more out of life.
Classes with Valerjan will be available throughout the spring-summer season – the perfect time to take care of yourself and experience firsthand what working with temperature brings.
Congratulations to the entire team – you have shown that you are truly LIMITLESS. We are looking forward to our next challenges together!
