Homepage Ice balloon in Sopot
The Finnish sauna, also known as a dry sauna, is a traditional type of sauna that originated in Finland. Today, the method of alternately heating and cooling the body is used by people all over the world. Now it’s time for you to take advantage of it as well.
Do you want to break your limits and try cold baths? Or are you an experienced walrus who wants to test your mettle in prolonged exposure to the cold?
Several different facilities and a spacious outdoor terrace await you in our complex. You can leave all your belongings in the locker room with lockable lockers, and use the showers and toilets when you’re done relaxing. And if you want to stay longer – take a look at the relaxation area in the covered room, where you can rest and replenish your fluids.
Ice balloon is an excellent way to get concentrated cold therapy. The temperature of the water (which usually oscillates between 5 and 10°C), strongly stimulates circulation and helps in faster muscle recovery after training.
In walrus tubs, you are usually submerged up to your armpits, so that the surface of your body is in direct contact with the cold water. To keep the temperature optimally low, we use ice cubes to further turn up the feeling of refreshment or special cooling devices.
Sound like a challenge? Rest assured – beginners should limit themselves only to very short baths of several seconds. After that, the stays can be gradually lengthened as experience and endurance are gained.
By coming into contact with the cold, the body learns to control stress and increases its immunity. The result? Better endurance and long-term health.
Bathing in an ice bath works on the nervous system, improving mood and reducing stress levels. This is all due to an increase in endorphins (happy hormones).
Cold water reduces swelling and speeds up recovery processes. It reduces inflammation and muscle pain, which is especially helpful after intense exercise.
Improved appearance of the skin, toning of blood vessels and better elasticity – all these are guaranteed by regular immersion in cold water.
Blood vessels that contract and expand again after leaving the water. This process improves circulation and oxygenation of tissues, which aids recovery.
